James Kong Tin Wong is the person-in-charge of China Practices Department, has experience in dealing with diverse PRC legal matters including direct foreign investment, joint ventures, project development, banking and finance and loan transactions, IPO, mediation and arbitration. He was admitted as an Attorney of the PRC in 1994, registered with the Law Society of Hong Kong as a foreign lawyer in 1996 and is an Arbitrator of recognized arbitral authorities .
James
currently serves as Vice Chairman of Greater China Legal Affairs Committee and Community Relations Committee of the Law Society of Hong Kong, a Panel Member of the Solicitors Disciplinary Tribunal, and a Panel Member of a number of Statutory and Appeal Boards. He is also a Fellow of the Society of Registered Financial Planners (FHKRFP) and a Fellow of the Hong Kong Institute of Directors (FHKIoD). He is also a founding member of the Hong Kong Independent Non-Executive Directors Association.
He
was a visiting lecturer in China Business Law at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University from 1995-1997, Since 2001 he has been a part-time lecturer at the University of Hong Kong. James is a prolific writer and publishes regularly in legal journals.
